![]() So what could cause this? And what should I do? Try and leave it to dry out? Remove some of the interior and dry it out over the weekend? Or phone garage and rant at them (they are a hour's drive away). The passenger side front and back appears to be dry. I tried to dry it all out tonight, but in the dark and lack of time means it's better but not perfect. Even in the drivers footwell, the underlay is wet, but for some reason the carpet on the drivers side has a rubber/plastic layer between it and the underlay. We had the rear glass removed professionally and found this pinhole near the urethane. There was a water leak near the back glass, the trunk and rear seat were soaked to the point of black mold growing. Further investigation tonight shows that underlay is VERY wet, and is soaking through onto the carpet. Leaks From Outside the Car Improperly installed urethane that caused a windshield to leak water into the vehicle. Today wife makes a comment that the car smells, upon investigation it seems like the awful chemicals the garage have used are still present (nice shiny dashboard!), however I checked the carpet, and on the drivers side in the rear footwell, the carpet was very wet still. When we picked it up we noticed that the carpets were a little damp, and put this down to the fact it had been valeted before we collectedit. OK, so my wife bought a very nie Fiesta 58reg 1.6 Titanium on Saturday.
